South Korea resumes F-16 flights

Monday, September 15, 1997
South Korea has resumed flights of its 35 F-16s after they were grounded for a month to allow inspections following the crash of an F-16 last month.
Two 177FS, NJ ANG F-16 fighter jets collided off the coast of New Jersey on September 16. The accident occurred southeast of Atlantic City and involved one F-16D aircraft, with two pilots aboard, and one F-16C.

Israeli F-16 crashes in the Negev desert

Wednesday, September 10, 1997
An Israeli F-16 fighter plane crashed on Sept 08 in the Negev desert during an instruction flight, injuring two pilots.
The Air Force released the aircraft accident reinvestigation report June 19 on the F-16D/C-130E midair collision at Pope Air Force Base, N.C., March 23, 1994. Twenty-four Army personnel were killed and more than 100 Army personnel and civilians were injured in the accident.

Cannon F-16 crashes, pilot safe

An Air Force F-16C crashed at 9:40 a.m. today approximately five miles north of Vaughn, N.M.

F-16 Fighting Falcon crashes

Tuesday, April 22, 1997
An F-16 Fighting Falcon crashed at approximately 10 a.m. April 21 in an unpopulated area about 7 miles southwest of Pearson, Ga. The aircraft was en route from Moody to Grand Bay Bombing Range during a routine low-level training mission.
The United States Air Force lost a beloved member of the 510th Fighter Squadron family Jan. 26. Capt. Mark P. "Mac" McCarthy died while participating in aerial combat maneuvers over the Adriatic Sea.
A U.S. Air Force F-16 crashed in a cow pasture north of Lake Okeechobee located in south-central Florida, yesterday. The pilot manged to safely eject and only suffered some bruises.
