The 100th F-16 wing box, manufactured by Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) was delivered on August 17, 2005 to Lockheed Martin. IAI's Lahav Division manufactures F-16 wing boxes worth over $100 million.
Silicon Graphics today announced that a high-fidelity Night Vision Goggle (NVG) simulation system has been successfully developed and fielded at Luke AFB, Ariz., a U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command facility.
The DSCA has notified Congress that the Government of Bahrain wishes to contract for logistics support services and equipment for its F-16 aircraft, ALR-69 radar warning receiver, ALQ-131 electric countermeasure pods, radar systems, and engines. The estimated cost if all options are exercised is $150 million.
Lockheed Martin received a long-lead contract, valued at approximately $67.7 million, from the U.S. Air Force to begin development of a major systems upgrade of Turkish Air Force F-16 aircraft.
Northrop Grumman Corporation has received a three-year contract from the U.S. Air Force to finish developing a fire-control radar replacement "kit" that will improve performance and enhance reliability in approximately 240 F-16C and D fighter aircraft.
AAR and Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) announced today at the Paris Air Show that AAR International has signed a Letter of Intent with GAMCO to explore the development of a component repair facility capable of supporting F-16 Block 60 aircraft in the United Arab Emirates.
EDO MBM Technology Ltd, a business unit of EDO Corporation, has achieved flight certification for F-16 pylon umbilicals equipped with its Field Replaceable Connector System (FRCS).
The first EL/M-20600 all weather Radar Targeting Pod (RTP) has been developed and manufactured by Israel Aircraft Industries' Elta Systems Group (IAI/Elta). It is designed to support fighter aircraft in air-to-surface missions in all-weather conditions.
Lockheed Martin was awarded a $52.9 million contract to produce 1,655 Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser (WCMD) tail kits and 100 WCMD-Extended Range (ER) wing kits for the U.S. Air Force. The purchase of 100 WCMD-ER kits signals the beginning of production for this system.
RADA announced today it has received purchase orders from Lockheed Martin to develop, test and deliver the next version of Lockheed's Structural Fatigue Tracking System (PERFORMS), and provide related services. Total orders exceed $470,000 for delivery starting March 2005 and lasting through February 2006.
Northrop Grumman in Linthicum Heights, MD is being awarded a $40.3 million contract for the the F-16 Block 50/52 aircraft's APG-68 (V) 10 Standard 2 Radar Modernization Program (RMP).
Lockheed Martin won a $125 million contract to provide more aircraft engines to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for its F-16-based F-2 fighter.
AAR Corp., a provider of overhaul and manufacturing services for the aviation industry, announced it received a contract from the Air Force to overhaul selected augmentor module components for Pratt & Whitney F100 engines.

Last Belgian F-16 MLU delivered

SABCA, a Belgian Aerospace company, delivered the last Belgian Air Component F-16 to receive the Mid-Life Update (MLU) in ceremonies on 8 March at its Charleroi-Gosselies plant.
General Electric has been awarded a $57.8 million contract to support the Service Life Extension Plan (SLEP) and Aging Engine Upgrade (AEU) initiatives applicable to the F100-GE-100/129 Engine; F-16 aircraft.
