MTC Technologies announced the delivery of the first production Digital Video Recorder (DVR) to the U.S. Air Force F-16 Systems Program Office at Hill AFB, Utah.

F-16s fire Sidewinders at Qinetiq drone

The US Air Forces Europe (USAFE) 555th 'Triple Nickel' F-16 Fighter Squadron has successfully completed its first air-to-air missile firing against Qinetiq's Mirach Aerial Target.
The first F100-PW-229 engine manufactured at the Pratt & Whitney WSK PZL-Rzeszów facility debuted during an inaugural aerial exercise of Poland's new F-16 aircraft at the Polish Peace Sky Program ceremony held at Lockheed Martin on Sept. 15.

Nordam wins Air Force contract

Nordam has been chosen as a contractor to make parts for the U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jets. They will make the leading edge flaps and engine access covers for the Viper
Orbit International, an electronics manufacturer and supplier, announced that its Power Units Segment, Behlman has received two new development orders in support of the F-16 program totaling $340,000.
Raytheon has received a $20.7 million contract award for continued production of its ALE-50 line of towed decoys.

ViaSat equips Turkish F-16s

ViaSat Inc. announced Aug. 16 that it will supply an additional 194 units of the company's high-capacity, jam-resistant, digital data and voice communications systems to the Turkish Air Force.
Pratt & Whitney, the U.S. specialist in the design, manufacture, and support of turbine engines had discussions with Bulgarian officials about their interest in purchasing F-16 fighter jets powered by their P&W F100 engine.
Raytheon has begun work on an upgrade of the Advanced Self-Protection Integrated Suite (ASPIS) electronic warfare systems in the F-16 fighters recently acquired by the Hellenic Air Force (HAF).
The U.S. Air Force has awarded Lockheed Martin a Mission Planning Enterprise Contract (MPEC) delivery order to upgrade components for the U.S. Air Force's fleet of F-16 Block 40 and 50 aircraft.
Today, EDO Corp said it entered into teaming agreement with Terma A/S to jointly develop an Enhanced Smart Triple Ejector Rack (ESTER) to be used on under-wing F-16 weapons stores.

Lockheed Martin delivers 4,300th F-16

Lockheed Martin announced it has achieved a significant production milestone with the delivery of its 4,300th F-16 aircraft yesterday. This aircraft will be in service for Oman.
Turkey has ordered a batch of Raytheon's Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW), the first international sale of the air-launched missile booked by the U.S. defense contractor.
Technical defects have been found in one of the first seven engines for F-16 fighter jets to be assembled by Polish aircraft maker Rzeszów, according to the Polish Press Agency on Wednesday.
The Israeli BVR Systems (1998) Ltd. today announced a contract valued at $2.7 million for the provision of F-16 MLU Improved Unit Line Trainer (IULT) for an international customer.
