    The flight suit is green but RNoAF use ar orang suite incase the plane should crash in the ocean. The suite it is more like a survial suite.

    Yes, the flightsuit is green. Norway has a very long coast line, and that means a lot of flights are over the ocean. The green suit also works as a survivalsuit but it's easyer for the guys at 330 sqd tho spot the pilot if he is wearing orange. You don't want to spend a lot of time in the water even with a survivalsuit. BTW 330 is the Norwegian SAR sqadron, useing Sea King helikopters.

    I've also seen a F-16BM with one pilot in the orange suit and the other in the green.

    I'm not sure if the orange suit keeps the pilot warmer than the green...

    Both suits (smokks) are made of the same materials. ( A special kind of fabric which become waterproof in contact with water, and rubber around arms, neck and around the G-hose)
