Too bad... it never ever got as sexy as the YF-23. IMHO, they also paid super-agility -- a largely useless and irrelevant attribute -- too much attention.

Welcome to the forums, orange23! Sorry, but because you are a newbie with only one post, please allow me the following question: What´s the purpose of your question? Any publication? After a plausible reply from you, I will provide you some related info. But please understand: We have some users on F-16.net who are probably unable to make their homework before posting any question to our forums. And in some cases, dozens of our registered users replied to such asks with a huge lot of facts and figures or comments without any thanks or further replies from the original poster which was never seen again on the forums sometime later. Sorry, but we are not an information service for anyone. If you really want some more details, please check-in again to this topic! If not, you will get no further update from me. And in this case, I will also suggest to lock this topic.

Jay Miller's Aerofax book on the F-22 has many (if not all) of the design study photos. Jay has connections with LM & Code One so the source is the same.

You may also order the back issues of Code One that contained the articles, April & October 1998 (v13#2 & v13#4)

How would you order the back issues of Code One?? The website clearly states, "Most back issues of the magazine are no longer available in print form and complete sets of Code One are very rare." Do you have a source for back issues? If you do, I'm interested! I subscribed for years (have not found that issue yet, still looking) and would love to replace some I lost....Thanks, Check

Thank you very much, habu2! You are right: Aerofax books are very good, like the "Warbird Tech" series from Specialty Press (I own Vol. 13 about the Douglas A-1 Skyraider).

But if I check out current online F-22 book offers, they are mostly too old to cover latest developements.

The production design of F-22 was completed in the dem/val phase, isn't it? (Configuration 645 was the final design submitted in the proposal for the EMD phase in December 1990.
. from Code one magazine),but why the external design of F-22 is frozen in December 1991?(from F-22 Chronology of globalsecurity.org)

What is post-Configuration 1132 ? (The dem/val evolution post-Configuration 1132 accounts for most of the external differences between the YF-22 and the F-22.Code one magazine).I am sorry ,I know only a little English.
